The New in Town & Social Networking (formerly from Meetup) have merged with the Singapore Young Executive Network (SYEN). The three groups share similar interest (i.e. social networking), it is thus appropriate for them to come as one.

Job Listing Service Terminated Long Ago

Dear employers & job agencies,

While SYEN may be a good source for graduate executive candidates, we have decided to terminate our job listing service long ago after much thought.

Our study showed that compared to leaders like JobsDB and Jobstreet, SYEN as a job site can never serve our recruiters or executives well. Why?

1. SYEN does not have as good a hit rate, candidate pool, software features, etc, that would benefit recruiters or jobseekers.
2. Our executives come from various vocations and industries; many may not be seeking work. Thus most job ads would be irrelevant and may even irritate members.

We will thus channel our resources to other areas that will best serve the long-term interests of our members.
